Join the Ackland Art Museum, Craftboro Brewing, and The Cheese Shop for a one-of-a-kind Acktoberfest art, beer and cheese pairing during October’s 2nd Friday ArtWalk. The event will showcase the 17th century Dutch drawing exhibition and includes curator-led mini tours of Drawn to Life. Admission is free!

Organized around six thematic groupings, including Artists at Work; The Traveling Artist; The New Landscape; Mirror of the Everyday; Characters and Sitters; and Imagined Histories, Drawn to Life celebrates the creativity and technical skills of Dutch artists who explored the beauty of the natural world and the dynamic, multifaceted aspects of humanity.

The 17th century was an incredible time for Dutch art — and cheese! We’re thrilled to partner with Craftboro and the Ackland Museum to pair art, beer and cheese based on new techniques and offerings, as well as history and technology that drove innovations in cheesemaking at the time.
